WHO READS
THIRD WAY

Third Way currently has a print run of 4,500 and a circulation of 4,200 and rising.

According to our research, each copy is read on average by 2.3 people, giving the magazine a total readership of 9,600.

They are

educated
Eighty per cent have a degree, and 40 per cent have two.

relatively young
Half are aged under 40, and 80 per cent under 50.

influential
They are mainly employed in professional or managerial positions: teaching, business, medicine, academia, science, public service and the social services. One in 10 is a full-time church leader, and over 60 per cent hold at least one position of responsibility in their church.

involved
One in three belongs to a pressure group: 30 per cent belong to a trade union, and 19 per cent to a political party four times the national average.

committed
Seventy-one per cent give regularly to mission or outreach work, and 77 per cent to charity or relief work. One in three does voluntary work.

engaged
One in three reads the magazine from cover to cover; 75 per cent read at least two-thirds. Those who don't keep it for reference pass it on only 8 per cent throw their copy away when they've finished it.

wired
In February 1996, when we surveyed 1,000 of them, 73 per cent owned a computer and 38 per cent had access to the Web. Those figures were high compared with the national average then, and will be very much higher now.

In other words, their impact on the church and the world is considerable. (We could even drop some famous names, but that isn't our style.)

If you would like to make contact with the people who read (and prize) Third Way, we do take a limited amount of advertising. You will find our rates very competitive.
